LSE EUROPP blog post on EU climate action

Together with Federica Genovese from Essex, I wrote a blog post for the LSE's European Politics and Policy (EUROPP) series about the political stuggles that will come with legislating the recently proposed “Fit for 55 Package” that will provide the legal framework for achieving 55% carbon reductions by 2030. Despite the urgency of the climate crisis, we argue in the blog post that the distributive politics of decarbonization will make the politics of climate action contentious and politically difficult to implement.
